About Seaspawn13

I’m Seaspawn13. This site is for new creators trying to get the streaming pieces connected and working together.

When I started streaming, the gear wasn’t the hard part. Making it all work together was. Mic into OBS. OBS talking to YouTube. Audio routing so the game, the mic, and the music don’t fight each other. Chat showing up on screen. Scenes that switch cleanly. Most guides online either skip over this stuff or hide it behind a paid tutorial. That gap is why this site exists.

Who’s behind the content

Most of the site is written by me. The more technical guides (audio routing, OBS internals, recording workflow, storage and archive systems) are written by my dad, Stillwork. He’s a professional recording engineer and content creator. You can find his channel at @stillwork on YouTube.

Each post has a byline so you know which of us wrote it. If a post is under Stillwork’s name, the technical claims come from someone who does this for a living.

What you’ll find here

Quick-start guides and how-to articles built around the four parts of the creator workflow:

  • Record: cameras, microphones, lighting, and the rooms around them.
  • Edit: software, hardware, and the workflow tricks that save hours.
  • Stream: going live without melting your CPU or dropping frames.
  • Publish: uploading, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and the post-video work.

Every guide is built around methods that work in real setups. No affiliate-stuffed Top 10 lists.

Who this is for

New content creators. If you’re in high school or early college, this site is for you. I’ll tell you what’s optional, when a cheaper version works, and when it’s worth saving up.

A note for parents

If your teen uses this site, the recommendations are written with younger creators in mind. I flag gear that needs adult setup (electrical work, wall mounting, any purchase over $100). I call out tools or services that require an adult account up front.
