Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Seaspawn13 (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) collects when you visit seaspawn13.com, how that information is used, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear or you want to make a request about your data, contact us at info@seaspawn13.com.

Who we are

Seaspawn13 is an independently operated website publishing quick-start guides and reviews for new content creators. The site is operated from New Hampshire, United States. Our website address is https://seaspawn13.com. The contact email for all privacy matters is info@seaspawn13.com.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you provide directly — when you fill in our contact form, leave a comment, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the name, email address, and any message text you submit.
  • Information collected automatically — like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools log your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. This is used to operate the site, prevent abuse, and understand which content is useful.
  • Information collected by third-party services — see the “Third-party services” section below.

How we use information

  • To respond to messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • To deliver newsletters or comment-reply notifications you’ve opted into.
  • To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve content and structure.
  • To display advertising that helps support the cost of running the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use them for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies — keep the site functioning (for example, remembering that you’ve dismissed a notice).
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand aggregate visitor behavior.
  • Advertising cookies — set by third-party ad partners (see below) to deliver and measure advertising.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the site. Each one has its own privacy practices.

  • Bluehost — web hosting. Privacy Policy.
  • Jetpack (Automattic) — security, statistics, and the contact form. Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics (via the MonsterInsights plugin) — visitor analytics. Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Google AdSense — third-party advertising. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. See Google’s advertising policy for details.
  • Yoast SEO — site SEO management; does not collect visitor data.
  • Embedded content — pages may include embedded videos, images, or social posts from sites such as YouTube. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the third-party site directly and may collect data, set cookies, and track your interaction with that content.

Children’s privacy

This site is written for new content creators, including high-school-age teens. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, contact info@seaspawn13.com and we will delete it.

If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian’s permission before submitting any personal information through the site, including the contact form or newsletter.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct or delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
  • Withdraw consent you’ve previously given.

To make a request, email info@seaspawn13.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.

Data retention

Comments and the metadata associated with them are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on the inquiry. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We use Jetpack and the hosting provider’s protections to defend against common attacks. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect the information we collect.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.

Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
